Salah Extends Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that Salah expressed regret to the group of players after the fallout from his recent interview.

The Incident

The striker was dropped from a European match following voicing frustrations and suggesting his connection to the head coach had deteriorated.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”

The head coach has refused to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.

Looking Ahead

He emphasized that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

The midfielder also noted that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “It's clear there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Team Form

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the situation. He feels the outburst were not intended to cause disruption.

“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a desire to win,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and securing victories.”
