Person of Interest in Ivy League Campus Tragedy Located Dead Inside Self-Storage Unit.

The suspect suspected of being the weekend's deadly shooting incident at Brown University reportedly committed suicide on Thursday evening, as stated by officials.

He was found at a storage facility on Thursday evening, according to information from an enforcement source. The same individual is also believed of the murder of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at a residence in the Boston area.

“He ended his own life this evening,” announced the chief of the Providence police department during a news briefing.

The chief identified the deceased man as Claudio Nevis Valenti, a 48-year-old individual enrolled at Brown University.

This news comes after a significant law enforcement presence at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire earlier on Thursday. Witnesses reported seeing numerous armed officers converging on the location.

The manhunt for the shooter had resumed on Monday after state prosecutors announced that a person of interest on Sunday had been let go. This development was acknowledged to be likely to cause fresh anxiety for the city residents.

City leadership noted that while the release was a disappointment, the overall case was not paused without interruption.

The young victims who lost their lives in the attack have been named by family. They are Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama who was served as vice-president for a campus political group, and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an international student in his first year who aspired to a neurosurgeon.

Authorities are expected to hold a news briefing to deliver additional information on the suspect's death.
