Emails Highlight Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Relationship

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters slowed down speech I doubt I can catch the flight we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an excellent assistant".

These messages were released on this week alongside more than 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his involvement by matching the timeline, events, and locations mentioned.

For example, Epstein talks about arranging a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the messages, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, did not reply on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of the president's key aides in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein prior to his death and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show recently, he said: "We plan to publish the film, the five-part series, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you are taken care of."

British Affairs Discussed in Messages

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit issue this morning with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the time, he added: "They are trying to move on. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely however the people over here have no balls" and added "Boris ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually removed in 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the publication of more than 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
