British tennis star Emma Raducanu wraps up her season and has decided to continue with her coach for 2026.

The British player reached the third round in three out of four Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Britain's Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the last two tournaments this season because of the illness she has been fighting in recent days.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in Tokyo and Hong Kong but has decided to fly home to rest and recuperate prior to beginning her preparations for 2026.

These plans will include trainer Francisco Roig, as they have decided to continue collaborating in 2026.

She underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and stopped playing when losing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

She again required a visit from the doctor at this week's Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.

Her movement was far from freely in the final set in the match with Zhu because of back discomfort that has troubled her during parts of the season.

These outcomes followed a positive campaign, in which the player advanced into the top 30 globally after more than three years since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

She held three match points before losing to American player Jessica Pegula in the third round in the Beijing tournament last month.

The player achieved 28 matches this year and made it to the semi-final round in the Washington tournament, but the highlight of her season was at March's Miami Open.

As Britain's top player made the last eight of this WTA 1000 tournament, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed en route prior to a loss in three sets to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She worked with Mark Petchey as coach from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig taking over in time for the US Open.

The first plan with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was until the end of the season but the collaboration persists, with planned training sessions for the end of the year.

She mentioned that a three-day test period alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

The player was close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in August's Cincinnati tournament.

Roig joined her in New York, where she advanced to round three before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
